 2010 Live Racing Schedule

Discover the excitement of live harness racing

Saratoga Springs has a long tradition rich in horse racing history. That tradition was enhanced in 1941, when the first live harness race was held on our beautiful half-mile track. Today, people can view live races outside at the rail, in the lower clubhouse, in the Grandstand, or Fortunes Restaurant. In addition to live harness racing, patrons can watch and wager on tracks from around the country on one of the many TV’s located in the Mezzanine. The 69th harness racing season commenced on March 5, 2010.

2010 Highlights:

  • New York State Sire Stakes 2 and 3-year-old races with purses exceeding $1.5 million

  • The 2nd Annual $350,000 Joe Gerrity Memorial Pacing Series

  • Annual Fireworks Night – Saturday, July 3rd – Racing at 5pm, fireworks display to follow

  • Some races to include nine horse fields, as opposed to eight

  • Doubleheader Saturdays spread throughout the 2010 Live Racing Calendar
